Planning this day with Dillon & Felicia the vision was a super sunny California day with tons of lush greenery and blooming wildflowers… the picturesque California spring day. A few days before, the forecast took a 180 and said rain was on the way. Instead of letting the rain ruin our parade (LOL), we embraced the change, adapted, found a new location and pivoted the inspo!

As the rain fell, something magical unfolded. A drizzly Sunday in Folsom turned into one of my FAVORITE shoots ever. The rain allowed me to focus on Dillon & Felicia and their beautiful connection. I was able to capture the intimate way they ran through the rain and some breathtaking moments hiding from the rain as well. With the focus shifted away from worrying about the perfect lighting or backdrop, we were able to fully immerse in the genuine connection shared between the couple.

Old Folsom, with its charming streets and historic buildings, provided the perfect backdrop for our impromptu rainy day photoshoot. As the rain came and went, we found ourselves darting in and out of alcoves and doorways, seeking shelter when necessary, and embracing the downpour when the moment called for it. The result? A collection of images that perfectly encapsulated the raw, unfiltered love between Dillon & Felicia.

There's something undeniably romantic about being caught in the rain with the one you love. As droplets danced on the cobblestone streets and puddles formed beneath our feet, Dillon & Felicia's love shone brightly, unaffected by the weather. With each click of the camera, we captured stolen glances, tender embraces, and genuine laughter – moments that spoke volumes about the depth of their connection.

In the end, what started as a day filled with uncertainty turned into one of the most memorable and heartwarming photoshoots to date. It's a reminder that sometimes, the most beautiful moments in life are found in the unexpected – in the moments when we let go of our plans and allow ourselves to be swept away by the beauty of spontaneity. And as Dillon & Felicia twirled in the rain, their love served as a beacon of light, reminding us all that love knows no bounds – not even the weather.

I am now DOWN with the rain if it comes! I have clear umbrellas in my car at all times so LETS DO IT! :)
